The villa sits atop a hill, a splendid natural terrace overlooking the African sea, dominating the coast and beach for several kilometers. The climate is always very breezy, and given the almost total absence of artificial lighting in the valley below, guests can enjoy magnificent sunsets and unparalleled starry skies. Indeed, in his Italian Journey, Goethe reported seeing the most beautiful sunsets of his life right on the Agrigento coast. A perfect location for stargazing and daydreaming. Casa Palombara in Torre Salsa is ideal for a short week-long getaway or longer stays; a popular destination for those who, leaving the cold metropolitan areas of the north, want to experience South Working, immersed in the splendid Sicilian countryside just steps from the sea, or for small workgroups wishing to follow a project requiring special team concentration. The house is equipped with Wi-Fi and, upon request, other equipment.

The villa is located in open countryside, and the access road is unpaved for about eight hundred meters. A suitable vehicle for short stretches of unpaved roads is recommended. Transfers to and from Sicily's main airports and ports, as well as major tourist destinations, are also available on request.

A Little Piece of Paradise

Casa Palombara in Torre Salsa is located within a one-hectare property exclusively for our guests and comfortably accommodates up to six people in three double bedrooms, all air-conditioned. It also has two bathrooms, with shower and bidet: one of the bathrooms is exclusively for the master bedroom.

There is also a spacious kitchen-living room, equipped with modern appliances, a large hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer, as well as a wide selection of small appliances.

There are large outdoor areas, a panoramic veranda and a terrace/solarium above the house where, in addition to admiring the view, you can also sunbathe in complete freedom.

The Torre Salsa Oriented Nature Reserve

Between Siculiana Marina and Eraclea Minoa lies an unspoiled coastline, the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve, where gypsum cliffs alternate with calcareous marl.

The grassy and bushy vegetation that covers the often rugged terrain occasionally allows access to the splendid beach via narrow paths between the rocks. The sea is crystal clear, and the seabed is rich in flora and fauna.

Torre Salsa, an ancient watchtower, is located in the heart of this oasis and dominates the summit of a small clay promontory from which, where the erosion process is most intense, the white calcareous marl appears.

A jagged rocky plateau creates a myriad of paths on the sea, where small fish dart swiftly among the seaweed and slow-moving crustaceans find refuge. The rugged nature of the area has preserved this oasis from development, making it one of Sicily's most interesting areas, deserving of the utmost protection, due to the variety and beauty of its habitats and the importance of its flora and fauna.

The Torre Salsa Reserve, covering 761.62 hectares, falls within the province of Agrigento in the municipality of Siculiana, very close to Montallegro and the archaeological site of Heraclea Minoa.

Its coastline extends along the coast for about 6 kilometers where it is possible to glimpse alternating cliffs of varying degrees of steepness, dunes and immense, solitary beaches, a destination for bathing enthusiasts in the summer months.

Services

Due to the specific nature of short-term vacation rentals, Casa Palombara does not offer services directly to its guests. However, upon request, it can recommend a vast network of selected operators capable of providing guests with a variety of services and workshops: workspace equipment and organization for professional teams, organization of dinners and traditional or modern and creative cooking classes, Italian language and culture courses for foreigners, and art history, archaeology, and natural history tours.
In addition, industrial laundry services, housekeeping, and other services are available.
